Adult:Child
Ratios
The CECE constantly maintains adult child ratios that meet or exceed
the standards mandated by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
At maximum, our ratios are:
Teacher:Child Ratios
1:5 = Toddler Classroom (Ages 12 months – 2 ½ years)
1:10 = Preschool I Classroom (Ages 2 ½ - 4 years)
1:12 = Preschool II Classroom (Ages 3 ½ - 6 years)
1:16 = Summer School Age Classroom (Ages 6 – 10 years)
Because our school serves as a practicum and observation site
for ESU students, we often have student teachers and observation
students
in
our classrooms. This helps us to maintain an even lower adult
child ratio than listed above!
All staff (including all practicum students, student teachers,
and other volunteers) are required to submit to a KBI background
check,
provide documentation of a recent physical and a negative
TB skin test.
